Superintendent Tausch

Larry Tausch has served as superintendent of Canton Local Schools since 2025, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in education, leadership and coaching to the Wildcat community.

Before joining Canton Local, Tausch served as principal of Northwest High School, a position he held beginning in 2016. His administrative experience also includes leadership roles at Northwest Middle School and Apple Creek Elementary. He began his career in education as a language arts teacher in Plain Local Schools and has coached wrestling, track and football.

Throughout his career, Tausch has focused on building strong relationships, supporting students and staff, and creating opportunities for every student to succeed.

As superintendent, he is committed to building on Canton Local's strengths while working alongside students, staff, families and the community to prepare Wildcats for success in school and beyond.
