Welcome, Superintendent Tausch

Canton Local Schools proudly welcomes Larry Tausch as its new superintendent. The Board of Education made the announcement at its June 16 meeting, ushering in a new chapter of leadership for the district.

Tausch brings nearly 30 years of experience in education and leadership. Most recently, he served as principal of Northwest High School, a role he held since 2016. His background also includes leadership at Northwest Middle School and Apple Creek Elementary. Earlier in his career, he taught language arts in Plain Local Schools and coached wrestling, track and football.

“We are excited to welcome Larry to Canton Local Schools,” said Board President Tom Kovesci. “His proven leadership, commitment to students and well-rounded experience make him the right person to lead our district forward.”

Tausch shared his excitement about joining the Wildcat community.

“I am honored to join the Canton Local community and look forward to building strong relationships with students, staff and families,” he said. “Together, we will continue the district’s positive momentum and focus on preparing every student for success.”
