    First Day of School
    Tuesday, August 19 – First Day for Grades PreK–9 (except Kindergarten)
    Wednesday, August 20 – All Students Attend (except Kindergarten)
    Friday, August 22 – First Day of Kindergarten

  • A school calendar for the 2025-2026 academic year, with dates and events.

  • Canton Local Schools is once again using the First Day Forms online system. This replaces the paper registration and permission forms usually sent home on the first day of school.

    Families should have received an email with a snapcode and link to the PowerSchool enrollment system. Please complete the forms as soon as possible. All forms must be submitted before the first day of school.

Summer Grocery Needs

Families may be eligible for Summer EBT (Sun Bucks) to assist with grocery expenses.

Renewal Levy Facts

Canton Local Schools is asking voters to renew an existing levy on the November 4, 2025 ballot. The 10.8-mill levy has been in place since 2001, and its last five-year renewal was approved in 2021. It supports day-to-day operations (like staff and supplies) and permanent improvements (like buses and building upgrades). Learn more by downloading the fact sheet here. 

2025-2026 School Year

School starts Tuesday, August 19, for Pre-K and grades 1-8 and for freshmen only at the high school. All students attend on Wednesday, August 20, except for kindergarteners, who have testing during the week and start all together on Friday, August 22.

Please be sure to complete your child’s First Day Forms before the start of school. Completed forms are required to access Chromebooks during computer distribution at each school. All families will be sent their student's Snapcode, which is needed to verify and update student records. The email with the code comes from online.enrollment@cantonlocal.org

Student Grades

Home Access System

If you are a parent or guardian in our student information system, you should have received an email with information on logging into the Home Access Center (HAC) for your student.  This information allows the guardian to create a password to link with their email and gain access to their student's grades.
